The globe in Bryant Hall will always be a significant landmark to me on the Ole Miss campus. Before college I had seen photos of the globe from newsletters and calendars my parents would receive, and I always wanted to find it and see it in person. When I finally did, I scanned it all around making note of all the different places I had been to and wanted to visit. Later, while a student at Ole Miss, I met the head of the Classics Department on my daily walk to class. She carefully convinced me I should try an entry level Classics course. Little did I know that her department was headquartered in Bryant Hall with the globe. Several courses later I was a Classics major passing by the globe daily. It was such a small detail that became a part of an everyday comfort that I will never forget.
