Office of Admissions

University of Mississippi

Agreement

Please carefully read and review the following information before signing up for a visit.

Please note that our online calendar opens 8 weeks prior to any specific date you may be looking for. Our online calendar closes 48 business hours before a specific visit date so that we can prepare for your visit.

We do not offer regular Saturday visits, but have special Saturday events scheduled throughout the year.

Our weekday visits are Monday through Friday, beginning at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. We offer an information session with a Regional Admissions Counselor, a campus walking tour with a student Ambassador and a housing tour of one traditional hall and one contemporary hall. The visit will last approximately 2.5 hours. Due to the number of visitors we have on campus each day, individual student housing tours are not available. During the student housing tour, two of the three types of freshman housing that we offer are shown. Visitors will see a showroom in a traditional residence hall and a showroom in a contemporary residence hall. Student rooms in the residential colleges are identical to the rooms in our contemporary halls with the exception of floor type. For visitors who wish to view all of the amenities in our residential colleges, tours of Residential College South and Luckyday Residential College are available by appointment (see information on special appointments below).

Please do not include other prospective students as a “guest.” Each prospective student will need to fill out a registration form.

Please note that we cannot be responsible for any airline or hotel reservations.

Once you have registered, you will receive an email confirmation to the email address you provide during registration. Please be sure to double check that you have put in the correct email address, including the correct spelling.

Be sure to print the parking pass emailed to you in the confirmation email. *If you do not have this with you during your visit, you may have to pay to park and/or receive a parking ticket. Your email confirmation will have more specific driving and parking directions. The Office of Admissions is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any parking tickets you may receive while on campus.

If you would like to meet with any additional specific departments, you may request them by replying to the confirmation email with your requests. *Please note that if you wish to request additional appointment in addition to your visit, an afternoon 1 p.m. visit will end around 3:30 p.m., which will only leave time for one additional appointment. We ask that you request these appointments up to one week in advance for the courtesy of our faculty/staff members.  Unfortunately, due to NCAA compliance rules, we cannot set up any appointments with athletics.

Please be sure to check out our FAQ page for more information prior to your visit.

We can only give out or sign school excuses for students who participate in one of our official campus visits. Excuses can only be given for the exact day that a student participates in the campus visit.
