The Next Steps
Step One
Access your WebID
Once you are an admitted student, you should receive a text message or email with your WebID asking you to reset your password. You can also check your status online to determine your admission at olemiss.edu/mystatus. You will use your WebID to apply online for housing, register for orientation, access your Ole Miss e-mail and more, so it’s important you remember your WebID and password! For help with accessing your WebID, contact our IT Helpdesk at 662-915-5222.
Step Two
All freshmen at Ole Miss are required to live on campus (except those who are married or commuting to campus). Submitting the housing application early allows you the best chance to get the roommate and residence hall you prefer.
If you need assistance, call Student Housing at 662-915-7328.
Step Three
Apply for financial aid, including scholarships
You’ll find information about how, when, and where to apply for all types of financial aid and scholarships at Ole Miss.
Step Four
You must complete both the Medical History and Certificate of Compliance forms before you sign up for orientation.
Step Five
Learn about New Student Orientation
Orientation will help prepare you for your first year on campus. You must apply for housing before registering for orientation.
Step Six
Take this step to learn about opportunities for purchasing computers and software at discounted prices. You’ll also find helpful information about computer and Internet use on campus.
Step Seven
Submit your final transcript
This is the last step you need to complete in order to be officially admitted. Remember to ask your school counselor/registrar to send your final transcript to:
Office of Admissions, P.O. Box 1848, University, MS 38677-1848.
Step Eight
Keep in touch!
Visit the Office of Admissions website often for updates and information about campus events.
We can’t wait to see you on campus!
